Sausage Party turns so trippily meta that it practically draws the exact line between brilliant invention and dude-what-if stoner ramblings. Rogen and Goldberg set out to spoof Disney cartoons and wound up ruminating on the mechanics of faith that allow audiences to believe in Disney cartoons in the first place. In the process, they may have reached a logical endpoint.
