Azhar (2016) Movie Review By Gulfnews

The film would have benefitted greatly if all that effort had gone into making its dialogues less corny. The supporting cast of Azhar, the other cricketers who were captained by Azharaddin such as TV star Gautam Gulati as the real-life cricketer Ravi Shastri and Manjot Singh as cricketer Navjot Singh Siddhu, were reduced to glorified side-kicks. Full Review

Azhar (2016) Movie Review By Just Bollywood

As the tagline of the movie suggest, love him, hate him, judge him, however, if you look at the movie it simply gives the signal that the director only loves Emraan. Well, no one can judge anyone, yet the way the film is made is not par with the expectation of anyone who knows Azhar very well apart from knowing the makers of the movie. The music can be impressive with a couple of cool numbers in it, but overall the film has very less to deliver to its audience. Thus the film doesn’t really deserve a higher rating. Full Review

Azhar (2016) Movie Review By Emirates 24/7

Why would cricketer Azharuddin seek redemption through a Bollywood canvas? One where there’s little insight into his personality, or his genuine love for the game. What we get, instead, is a hotchpotch of media theories, stuff that we’ve had access to already, packaged together with glitzy song-and-dance. There are even lip-locks (those that were thankfully censored for the UAE audience), which are more in line with Emraan Hashmi’s inglorious on-screen reputation, and less to do with Azhar’s shy demeanour. Full Review

Azhar (2016) Movie Review By Times of India

A disclaimer at the start says that it is not a biopic on the life of one of the most celebrated and controversial Indian cricket captains Mohammad Azharuddin(Emraan). So the makers hoodwink you submission that it is not a biopic. But one has also to be blind, not to be able to see the similarities between Azhar’s life and this film. Full Review

Azhar (2016) Movie Review By Bollyarena

Azhar will have you captivated with its grit and enigma. Also, brace yourself for some shocking revelations that you may find tough to digest. But as the film was a biopic on a cricketer, it could have been much better with proper visual effects. The star cast was also not that strong which is required for a biopic. Full Review

Azhar (2016) Movie Review By Infomovies

The first part of the movie is quite boring but the second part was good, you cannot predict director’s intentions. The chemistry between Mohammad Azharuddin and Naureen was awesome, movie is full of emotions and love. Emraan Hashmi has given his best and the movie has everything for everyone. The movie is about attachments, affiliations and familial bonding. The movie explores the husband wife relationship of celebrities. Full Review
