1. KORIGAD

Korigad (also called Koraigad, Koarigad or Kumwarigad) is a hill fort located about 20 km (12 mi) south of Lonavla in Pune district, Maharashtra, India. Its date of construction is not known but likely predates 1500. It is about 923 m above sea level. The planned township of Aamby Valley is built over the fort’s southern and eastern foothills. The closest village is Peth Shahpur, about 1 km (0.62 mi) north of the fort.

It is one of the best treks for beginners. It offers some breathtaking views of the exotic Amby Valley, especially during monsoon.

2. KALSUBAI PEAK

Kalsubai is a mountain (1646 meters) of the Sahyadris range located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Its summit situated at an elevation of 5400 feet is the highest point in Maharashtra which earns it the much glorified title of the ‘Everest of Maharashtra’.

Harishchandragad is a hill fort in the Ahmednagar district of India.

Harishchandragad is also known as trekker’s paradise as rappelling, rock climbing & valley crossing can be done simultaneously in one trek itself. It is also famous as the best fort in Maharashtra for camping. There are nearly 9 caves in total inculding 2 big caves on Harishchandragad which can accomodate around 100-150 campers.

5. KOTHALIGAD FORT

Kothaligad (also called Kotligad or Kothligad) is a small Fort (3100 ft) is situated to the east of Karjat near Karjat-Murbad Road in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is one of the famous treks in the Karjat area, because of its small height and easy climbing. It is also known as the Fort of Peth because of its vicinity to Peth village at its base.

It is an ideal one day trek in monsoon. This fort stands in the company of various other forts like Rajmachi, Dhak, Siddhagad and Bhimashankar.
