Apple has rolled out iOS 9.2 update which brings with it new features for Apple Music and improved stability for Safari, among other minor improvements.
In the Apple Music, iOS 9.2 now lets users create a new playlist when adding a song to a playlist. The most recently changed playlist is displayed at the top, when adding songs to playlists. Apple has also introduced an iCloud download button to let Apple Music users download their entire song library from their account, which many users will appreciate.
There’s also a new download indicator button next to each song, so you’ll know how much is remaining when you choose to make a song available offline. Apple Music users can now also see Composers, Performers, Works, when browsing in the classical section in Apple Music.
Other key features of iOS 9.2 update are:
It brings Mail Drop feature in order to allow large attachments in the Mail app.
iBooks is now 3D Touch enabled for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and will give users a sneak peak at the content in the book. The app also supports listening to an audiobook.
iOS 9.2 also fixes an issue where Live Photos could have gotten turned off after restoring from an iCloud Library backup.
Also fixes an issue where Calendar might have been prevented from displaying all seven days in week view. The update also fixes issues around a manual iCloud backup getting completed.
